Our mothership services are being donated by The Arctic Circle.
This boat is a Shpountz 44-40 gaff schooner and was built in France in the mid-Eighties. Its construction is cold-moulded Iroko over laminated fir frames.
From their website:
The Arctic Circle artist and scientist residency program is a nexus where art intersects science, architecture, education, and activism – an incubator for thought and experimentation for artists and innovators who seek out and foster areas of collaboration to engage in the central issues of our time.
The annual series of expeditions takes place aboard a specially outfitted Tall Ship in the High Arctic territory of Svalbard, just 10 degree off the North Pole.
The Arctic Circle accepts applications from international working contemporary artists from all disciplines, scientists, architects, educators and innovators alike.
Calls for applications are issued to our mailing list only. To join our mailing list please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
